Azure apps for iOS and Android devices. Microsoft today announced new Azure Cloud Shell. This new Azure Cloud Shell will complement the IDE and the Azure Portal. It offers an authenticated, browser-based shell experience hosted in Azure and is accessible from anywhere (even from mobile).

As it is a cloud-based service, Azure takes care of updating Cloud Shell with commonly used command line tools and support for multiple popular programming languages. Also, each Cloud Shell session provides a ready-to-use environment automatically synced to a $Home directory that is stored in Azure to enable persisting files such as your favorite automation scripts.

Also revealed Azure mobile apps for iOS and Android. With the new Azure mobile app, you can manage your Azure cloud on the go. Even the Azure mobile apps will come with support for new Azure Cloud Shell.
