Windows 10 SDK Preview build 16190 released by Microsoft. The Windows 10 Preview SDK build 16190 can be used with any Windows Insider Preview build (16190 or greater) and contains numerous bug fixes and other development changes to APIs.

Microsoft wants you to take note of a couple of things before you download the new SDK:

  • This build works in conjunction with previously released SDKs and Visual Studio 2017. You can install this SDK and still also continue to submit your apps that target Windows 10 Creators build or earlier to the store.
  • The Windows SDK will now formally only be supported by Visual Studio 2017 and greater.

Here’s a look at the new controls that are available in the Windows 10 SDK Preview build 16190:

“NavigationView, TreeView, RatingsControl, ColorPicker, ParallaxView and PersonPicture to the Windows.UI.XAML.Controls namespace. It also adds brushes for Acrylic and Reveal, part of the Fluent Design System.
