PowerShell controleert SQL Server-versie.
OPMERKING: Better do this from the Windows Server running Microsoft SQL Server
1. Loop Windows PowerShell with elevated permissions (als beheerder). As an example, you can do this by Right Mouse Button clicking on the Start button, and selecting WindowsPowerShell (beheerder);
2. Run the next command:
sqlcmd -s <SERVERNAME>\<INSTANCENAME>
OPMERKING: If you use only 1 instance on the server you can use the next command
sqlcmd -s <SERVERNAME>
As example:
sqlcmd -s 21-cm01
3. At the 1> prompt, type:
select @@version
4. At the 2> prompt, type:
go
As a result, you must get something like this. (With your server name and SQL Server version)
In mijn geval, this is SQL-server 2017 (RTM-CU13) 14.0.3048.4 (x64)
