July update for Microsoft OneNote brings multi-window and custom pen support. The new multi-window feature (pictured above in preview form) which made its debut for OneNote Preview users a few months ago. Now users running the current app via the Store will be able to make use of this productivity booster. It’s easily accessed via the view tab, letting you launch another window so you can see multiple notebooks at once.

For the more traditional note-takers who prefer pen and “ink”, the OneNote team has also added support for custom pens – useful if you’re on devices like the pen-enabled Surface Pro and other Windows Ink-powered devices.
