We make some preparation in Part 1. Let’s continue Power BI SCCM configuration with connecting to SCCM Database.

1. Open your “SCCMSolutionTemplate.pbix” file;

2. Go to “File“, “Options and settings” and click on “Data source settings“;

sccmpwbipt224. Enter your “Server” (with “\Instance“) and “Database” names. Click “OK”;

sccmpwbipt235. Next click “Edit Permissions” to enter credentials for Database connect;


6. Click “Edit“;

sccmpwbipt257. Choose type of your credentials (“Windows” (only supported by SCCM), with “Read” permissions) and enter it, after entering click “Save“;

sccmpwbipt279. After all activities click “Close“;

sccmpwbipt2911. If you do all things right, then it download all information and you get “Dashboard”;
