New feature:

Ready, set, draw

We have heard from many of you that you are not sure about what you can do with your Surface Pen when using Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. To make it mire obvious, we are now showing the available options before you even start to ink!

Now, as soon as you pick up your Surface Pen, the Draw tab will be activated to make selecting your pen colors easy.

How to enable the feature

Pair your Surface Pen with your machine! When the pen is first picked up (after being at rest for at least 2 minutes) the Draw tab will become active if you are in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint!

Known issue:

Currently, we do not distinguish between the pen being moved or jostled vs. picked up.

Outlook
